Actilablang: an e-learning platform for languages

Actilablang is a language e-learning platform, doubling with an online mini multimedia lab. It allows students to work on line and teachers to follow up their work, online as well.
It includes a tool box that comes complete with dictionaries, lexicons, text-to-speech, and online resources of all sorts, all of them accessible online for free.
It will help foster online interactivity through video-conferencing and the use of an interactive whiteboard.
Actilablang has a double function: online teaching and follow-up, and this is achieved through two modules: one meant for students, and one for teachers. It is user-friendly and requires no more than basic computer literacy.
Actilablang targets multiple audiences. It has been developed for universities and high schools, to provide an online environment for both contact and distance teaching. It is also great for off-site learners, out of reach of traditional e-learning programmes. The software can thus be used to develop cooperation with developing countries, to teach sick children in hospital or at home, or even jailed students, through interactive one-to-one teaching.
Enjoy!

  2. With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any methods to help protect against content from being ripped off? I’d really appreciate it.

  3. I’m afraid there is no solution. Anyhow, what my students produce and store online is not copyrighted and the content of their file-box is not actually displayed publicly. It is only visible to their teachers and the mates they have selected. Even the blogs I use have a limited access. The best solution to avoid having problems is NOT to publish anything important online and to use links to the live documents one uses rather than downloading them and – possibly – editing them to turn them into teaching material.

  4. I’m curious to find out what blog system you are working with?
I’m experiencing some small security problems with my latest
site and I would like to find something more safeguarded.
    Do you have any solutions?
